This is a reminder that our Pack Meeting and Raingutter Regatta boat race is this Thursday, October 20, at 7:00 pm at the Timber Creek Elementary School Cafeteria!

Please work with your Scout to put together the Raingutter Regatta boat kit that you received at the September pack meeting. These are fairly quick and simple to put together. You can paint and decorate the boat as you wish! If you did not receive a boat kit, we will have extras available at the pack meeting on Thursday. Come a bit early if you need to get one and put it together. I look forward to seeing you there!

Below is some important info on the upcoming Bobcat Day this Saturday, October 1. This is mainly geared toward new Scouts and they can earn their Bobcat rank at the event, but all Scouts are welcome to attend and join in on the activities.

Location: Tomball United Methodist Church located at 1603 Baker Dr., Tomball TX 77375. The fun will start at 9 am and will concluded at noon. The event is a come and go style event where you can show up anytime during that time period. The Cost is free and the scouts will have the opportunity to launch rockets, shoot BB guns, have a go at archery, try a game of bowling, play a 6 hole miniature golf course and several other fun events while learning the parts of the bobcat rank.

The Orion web page has a place for you to RSVP just so we have an idea who will be attending. I have also attached a flyer you can hand out to your new scouts.

This is a reminder that our first pack meeting of the 2022-2023 school year is this Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Timber Creek Elementary cafeteria! Our pack meeting is open to all in K-5th grade who are interested in Scouting. Below are some important details:

There are 2 options for dues this year:
1. $250.
2. $200 with an obligation to sell an additional $200 of popcorn for our fundraising effort.

I'm excited to have the option to sell popcorn again this year after a 2-year break of no popcorn sales! Also, we will be handing out Raingutter Regatta kits to the scouts who sign up, and our boat race will be at the October pack meeting!

We are excited to begin a new school year and a new year of Scouting!  Below are the dates for our upcoming Pack meetings.

Be sure to attend the first pack meeting on Thursday, Sep 22, as we will be giving out something to each Scout who signs up! Any children in K-5th grades interested in learning about Scouting can come to our Pack meeting! Your Den Leaders will be reaching out on the schedule for Den Meetings.

We will have our May pack meeting on Thursday, May 12, at 7:00 pm at the Timber Creek Elementary cafeteria. This will be our rank advancement ceremony where we recognize and award the scouts who have achieved their rank advancements throughout the year! This is also our final pack meeting of the academic year.

We also have a Pack Campout coming up May 13-15 at Blackwood Educational Land Institute - a working farm in Hempstead (off Hwy 290)! It's about an hour drive from here and will be a great campout experience for first-timers as well as experienced campers. Scouts must have a parent/guardian camping with them at the event, and the whole family is welcome to attend. Each family unit will need their own tent and sleeping bags. We will help you setup your tent for those that need help. We will also cook as a pack for meals on Saturday (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and Sunday morning breakfast. The cost will be $20/person + some extra for food and supplies. More details will be forthcoming as we get closer to the event, and we need to get a headcount for planning. Hi scouters,

We will have our next Pack 403 meeting this Thursday, April 14, 7:00 pm, at Timber Creek Elementary School Cafeteria. We will be talking all about camping! This will be fun activities for the scouts and some discussion with parents.

We will also discuss an upcoming pack campout tentatively planned for mid-May. This will be a great campout for first-time campers as well as experienced campers! Hope to see you this Thursday!
